Dr. Henry Brockington, Bettendorf, Local 3420

ABOUT HENRY:
I have been divorced for the past thirteen years. I have a son who is 46, and a daughter who is 50, both of whom are Grandparents. The results is I have a son and daughter, four grandkids, and three great grand kids, with a fourth due in a month. I am a member of the Scott County Democratic Central Committee and a member of the Rules Committee and Scholarship Committee. I am also a Life Member of the Local NAACP serving on the Executive Committee, as the Health Committee chair and member of the Education Committee. I am also a member of the Davenport Community School Local School Improvement Advisory Committee.

We put on annual programs and forums for high school juniors and seniors, mostly minority and first generation students but we accept anyone to interest them and prepare them for college. I am also the Treasurer of my Local, a shop steward, and one of the original members to form this Local, write the collective bargaining agreement, and have served on every negotiating committee since.

WHAT HENRY DOES:
I teach students in the Life Sciences courses (Physiology, Microbiology, etc) and Technique (Chiropractic courses) to prepare them to become Chiropractors and serve on the meany departmental, and college wise committees.  I serve as an advisor on Delta Delta Phi and the Tennis Team.

WHAT HENRY'S JOB MEANS TO HIM AND HIS COMMUNTIY
It has allowed me the opportunity to help my family financially, psychologically, and physically.  It has given me the opportunity to prepare myself economically for retirement for myself, and has given me the knowledge to help my community better understand the advantages of Chiropractic.  It has also given me the opportunity to interact with my community in a variety of ways.
