We Are Your Neighbors: Cassidy and Rich Palmer, Fort Dodge, Local 3015

ABOUT CASSIDY:
I have a husband Rich (also works at the prison), 2 children, Cloey 5 and Kellen 19 months. I don’t really have a lot of community ties besides raising my children, but my husband is a reserve for the Fort Dodge Police Dept and County Sheriffs Dept. He is also on the CERT team for the prison.

WHAT THEY DO:
We are both Correctional Officers at a Medium/ Max prison. We observe offender behavior and enforce rules, to try to secure and maintain a safe working environment for staff and offenders.

WHAT THE PALMER'S JOBS MEAN TO THEIR FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
Our jobs mean everything to our family. Thanks to our jobs we have insurance for both of us and our children. Also we have stability in our home because of our jobs and can save for the future. We should have a good retirement to count on. Our job also brings a lot to our community. It helps keep our community safe from all types of criminals. It also creates new jobs for our community.
