By Mark Hedberg

What to do when an employee has been injured at work:

a.   Report the injury to the employer as soon as possible (time limit is 90 days). The employer will then have to file a subsequent report either denying or admitting that the injury was work-related.
b.   Make sure medical providers know the nature of the injury.
c.   Statute of Limitations – Employee must file for benefits within two years of the injury or within three years of the last payment of benefits.
