AFSCME Iowa Council 61 Locals Donated Over $48,850 to Charitable Causes During the Holiday Season!

January 11, 2016

AFSCME Iowa Council 61 members enrich and strengthen their communities in many ways, both on and off the job. One of those ways is through charitable donations made by AFSCME Iowa Council 61 locals during the holiday season.

This list includes over $48,850 in donations to charitable causes. These donations have or will assist countless struggling Iowa families in many ways.

In addition to the donations listed below, AFSCME Iowa Council 61 is a major sponsor of Toys for Tots in the KCCI viewing area. AFSCME members from many locals collected and donated toys and cash to Toys for Tots and other local charities.

Thank you to all AFSCME members and locals that took part in these charitable efforts.

In Solidarity,

Danny Homan, President
AFSCME Iowa Council 61
